Are you an “Overcomer?”
1 John 5:1-5
Today, we will begin the last chapter of this great book. And as we learned in the past few messages, he who loves the Lord, truly loves their brothers and sisters in Christ.
John is speaking to us and is putting us to the test. In these five verses, we see those who truly love God.

1 John 4:1-6
Up to this point in this letter, the test of true Christianity could be summed up in this manner. The Test of Life. The evidence of your salvation is demonstrated in how you live your life.
Saying you are a Christian, knowing about Jesus, and having a membership at church, is of no significance if you are not obedient to the commands of the Lord, and if you do not have a biblical love for Him and other believers. In fact, the bible says that those who do not pass the test of life, are phonies, hypocrites, fakes, and cheap imitations.
Today, as we enter chapter 4, the Word of God teaches us about the Test of Doctrine.

1 John 3:10-18
All about discernment – who is and who is not a True, heaven bound, Christian. In these passages, the Bible speaks to us using the analogy of one’s parentage. You are either a child of God, or a child of the devil’s. Whoever does not practice righteousness, is not of God. Today, we will be focusing on the absolute, irrefutable test of parentage. Whose child are you? It is all found in one four letter word. Love.
